We have four age groups, all with light airy and spacious rooms, which contain age and stage appropriate furniture and equipment to enable the staff to deliver the highest quality of care and education possible.
This is where the learning begins; this room provides a welcoming home from home atmosphere with soft furnishings and lighting, which make a cosy atmosphere where children can snuggle up and read a book. We also provide a wide selection of opportunities for toddlers to explore investigate and learn in a safe, stimulating place. A messy area encourages toddlers to paint, draw and engage in a wide range of creative activities, and double doors lead out on to a lovely decked area which has a huge sandpit to explore.
We encourage all the children to discover their independence and social skills, with staff delivering planned and spontaneous learning experiences, taking into account each child’s personal development stage and interests. The room consists of a cosy area/IT area, construction and small world, role play area. There is also a wet and dry area which the children follow creative activities in and also have unlimited access to sand and water.
This is the largest of the 3 rooms and has double doors leading on to a decked area where children can explore the outdoors this then leads to our fantastic garden. You will notice a more structured atmosphere and routine within this room to help prepare your child for a smooth transition to school, however this does not mean any less opportunity for playing and fun. Like the rest of the room’s staff will follow each child’s interest offering both adult led and child led activities, these are very vast and varying depending on each individual child.
The nursery boasts a fantastic outdoor space that has been installed and developed by Infinite Playgrounds taking into consideration our beautiful natural surroundings. We have a fantastic slide that leads the children down to the rest of the garden. We have a climbing frame that has been made from an Oak tree, a rope swing and a tunnel that children can run over and climb through- the possibilities are endless
